8 m cylindrical aluminium flagpole, ZI90K, Ø 90 mm, internal halyard, winch drive has the item number 8101.11 and is characterised by nominal height 8 m, pole diameter 90 mm, internal halyard, cylindrical design. This model is available from 552,16 € incl. VAT.

At a nominal height of 8 m, the pole remains highly visible even across larger commercial sites and car parks. When choosing a flag, aim for 400 to 550 cm in length in portrait format, or around 150 × 300 cm in landscape. The foundation holds a ground socket, out of which the 8 m nominal height projects. The ground socket has to match the 90 mm diameter. You will find the matching foundation plan in the „Instructions“ tab. The tube is made of aluminium and has a cylindrical profile with a diameter of 90 mm. The internal halyard runs protected inside the pole and makes unauthorised lowering of the flag more difficult.

The internal halyard of the ZI90K offers the best possible protection against flag theft, and operation is simple and convenient.

The ZI90K is equipped with the new Flaglift crank hoisting device; the spring-tensioned stainless steel halyard is installed as a continuous loop in the pole groove. Protection against unauthorised operation is provided by the plug cylinder in the safety bolt. The flag is hooked into the eyelet of the long slide with its topmost carabiner, the remaining carabiners into the flag fabric holders (4 pcs.), which are made of plastic. To prevent the flag from riding up in gusts, the flag weight is attached to the lowest flag carabiner. The high-grade EN AW-6082T6 alloy ensures lasting stability. The anodised layer to Euras standard DIN 17611 (at least 20 micron layer thickness) guarantees a durable, attractive surface finish.

Flag finishing

No special flag finishing is required. All common, freely flying types of flag up to a max. size of 1.50 x 4.00 m can be hoisted. The flag carabiners are hooked into the eyelets of the flag fabric holders.

Do flagpoles need a foundation?
Yes, flagpoles should always have a foundation. As a rule, a ground socket is set in concrete and the flagpole is then simply inserted into it. This means the pole can easily be removed from the socket again at any time.
Which concrete is needed for the foundation?
Concrete C 25/30 – you will also find this information on the foundation plan. Concrete of grade C 25/30 is available from specialist suppliers (concrete plants, builders' merchants).
Do the foundation and the flagpole have to be installed by a specialist company?
With a little practical skill, any DIY enthusiast can install the foundation and the flagpole themselves following the instructions supplied. It is not strictly necessary for this to be done by a specialist company.
So what does ZI75 mean?
The I in ZI75 stands for internal halyard.
What are the advantages of an internal hoisting mechanism?
Flag and pole are considerably better protected against theft and vandalism. Poles with an internal hoisting mechanism are often more convenient to operate as well (e.g. by winch). It is less susceptible to dirt and moisture. The internal halyard is also quieter, since it cannot knock against the pole.
Is it possible to retrofit a flagpole with an outrigger?
Converting ZI poles with an internal halyard to ZA poles is no problem. The pole is then fitted with an outrigger that can be hoisted. The Z series with a standard hoisting mechanism can be converted to ZD, which cannot be hoisted. For other poles, please enquire.
