6 m conical aluminium flagpole KI-F, for angled mounting has the item number 8135.06 and is characterised by nominal height 6 m, internal halyard, tapered design.

6 m above ground – which means the pole is the typical choice for company entrances, car dealerships and club grounds. We recommend portrait flags of 300 to 400 cm in length, or landscape formats around 150 × 200 cm. The pole is set into a ground socket cast in concrete; the stated 6 m are the visible height above ground, so the overall length is correspondingly greater. The internal halyard runs protected inside the pole and makes unauthorised lowering of the flag more difficult.

Conical flagpole with an internal hoisting device for angled mounting on façades. Operated from the ground.

Equipment

  • Conical pole tube, silver anodised, length 6.00 m
  • Rix pole finial Ø 135 mm, silver or gold
  • on the underside of the pole there are 3 pulley blocks that guide the halyard. The halyard emerging at the lowest pulley block leads to the operating point. Delivered ready to hoist, but with the tie rods unbolted
  • supplied without screws and dowels, as these have to be determined case by case.

Technical data

Aluminium pole tube, conical, Ø 114/60 mm, length 6.00 m, inclined at 50 degrees. 2 tie rods in round aluminium tube, Ø 25 x 3 mm, length 1.70 m, with lugs welded on at both ends, with 2 cheese-head screws, M 10 x 40, A2, perlon halyard, Ø 8 mm, length 28 m, sufficient for a base height of 6.00 m above ground. Perlon auxiliary line, Ø 5 mm, length 6.00 m, thimble crimped at one end, with stainless steel carabiner. Aluminium cleat, length 300 mm, anodised or coated in the colour of the pole tube.

Flag finishing

Although flags with a rectangular cut can be used, it is advisable to give the flag an angled edge on the pole side. 4 or 5 carabiners should be sewn onto this angled edge. At the lower end of the short side of the fabric, a reinforcement with a carabiner should also be provided. This carabiner secures the flag, i.e. it cannot blow over the pole tube. A 6.00 m perlon auxiliary line for securing the flag is included in the delivery.

Frequently asked questions about this pole

No ground foundation required. This pole is fixed to a wall or façade. Please have the substrate checked for load-bearing capacity.
Operation & maintenance The assembly and operating instructions supplied with the pole are authoritative. For guidance: the wind strength above which the flag should be taken down and how to bring it in gently and store it. Visually inspect the rope, pulley, ground socket and pole base regularly, and additionally after a storm.
Is planning permission required for wall brackets?
Yes, it is required, as this is a fixed connection to the building and therefore a structural alteration.
What is the difference between a tapered and a cylindrical flagpole?
A tapered flagpole narrows from bottom to top. For example, the lower diameter is 177 mm and the upper one 76 mm. On a cylindrical flagpole the diameter is the same throughout.
What are the advantages of an internal hoisting mechanism?
Flag and pole are considerably better protected against theft and vandalism. Poles with an internal hoisting mechanism are often more convenient to operate as well (e.g. by winch). It is less susceptible to dirt and moisture. The internal halyard is also quieter, since it cannot knock against the pole.
Is it possible to retrofit a flagpole with an outrigger?
Converting ZI poles with an internal halyard to ZA poles is no problem. The pole is then fitted with an outrigger that can be hoisted. The Z series with a standard hoisting mechanism can be converted to ZD, which cannot be hoisted. For other poles, please enquire.
What are the advantages of an illuminated flagpole?
Your flag is clearly visible at night and from a distance. You also have the option of combining car park lighting with the pole lighting. Flagpole lighting supports relationship marketing.
