6 m elliptical rotating pole, EA-K100-6, internal halyard, bracket/gallows arm has the item number 8516.34 and is characterised by nominal height 6 m, pole diameter 100 mm, outrigger, elliptical design. Prices start at 825,86 € incl. VAT.

Designed for 6 m of visible height, the pole is the typical choice for company entrances, car dealerships and club grounds. Suitable flags are portrait formats from 300 to 400 cm in length, or landscape flags around 150 × 200 cm. The pole is set into a ground socket in a concrete foundation; the 6 m nominal height is measured from ground level. Choose the ground socket to match the 100 mm tube diameter. You will find the matching foundation plan in the „Instructions“ tab. The material used is aluminium; the pole tube is elliptical with a diameter of 100 mm. The outrigger arm holds the flag clear of the pole so it stays readable even when there is no wind.

Flagpoles with 360° rotating bearing and hoistable bracket/gallows arm.

Aluminium pole tubes with an elliptical cross-section, optimised structurally and aerodynamically. Besides the greatest possible stability, this tube shape has the advantage of the lowest possible noise emission in strong winds.

Thanks to the structural and aerodynamic optimisation of the pole tubes, the poles guarantee stability in accordance with DIN EN 1991-1-4/NA for wind zone I when flying a flag, up to a nominal height of 12 m. For nominal heights up to and including 9 m, stability for wind zone 2 is guaranteed as standard – likewise when flying a flag.

The benefit of the rotating bearing of the pole tubes is that both the flag and the hoisting device turn "out of the wind" at the same time. This prevents the flag from wrapping or tangling in turbulent wind and rain.

Equipment

Aluminium pole tube, material EN AW-6082T6, silver anodised E6/EV1, profile cross-section 100 x 113 mm, elliptical, aerodynamically and structurally optimised, with a moulded groove for the internal hoisting device, internal halyard with PES rope, lockable operating point with a flush-fitting stainless steel cover with lever lock, pull slide, flag fabric holders (5 pcs.) Telescopic bracket 100/160 cm, keder flags can be hoisted, pole tube mounted on a flange shaft with rotating bearing, triangular base flange size 314, safety hinge, base section with 3 adjusting anchors M16 for vertical pole installation, pole tube stable when flying a flag in accordance with DIN EN 1991-1-4/NA wind zone II, pole weight 53 kg

Nominal height (NH): 6.00 m, total length (GL): 6.00 m, profile cross-section: 100/113 Stability in accordance with EN 1991-1-4/NA is met

Flag finishing

Side tape with hooks. Hollow hem along the top edge of the fabric, Ø 30 mm, open on both sides. The topmost hook must be sewn on directly below the hollow hem. Hook spacing max. 1.00 m, max. fabric width 1.50 x 4 m. The flag is slid onto the bracket tube by its hollow hem. The topmost flag carabiner hooks into the hole of the long slide, the remaining carabiners into the eyelets of the flag fabric holders. The flag weight with stainless steel carabiner is hooked into the lowest flag fabric holder and thus prevents the flag from riding up in gusts.

Tilting mount, flange shaft on anchor cage, safety hinge, adjusting bolt.

Operation & maintenance The assembly and operating instructions supplied with the pole are authoritative. For guidance: the wind strength above which the flag should be taken down and how to bring it in gently and store it. Visually inspect the rope, pulley, ground socket and pole base regularly, and additionally after a storm.

Key technical data

Pole tube

Max. flag size
max. 4.00 x 1.50 m (portrait)
Does the flag turn?
Yes – the pole tube is mounted on a 360° swivel bearing.
Do flagpoles need a foundation?
Yes, flagpoles should always have a foundation. As a rule, a ground socket is set in concrete and the flagpole is then simply inserted into it. This means the pole can easily be removed from the socket again at any time.
Which concrete is needed for the foundation?
Concrete C 25/30 – you will also find this information on the foundation plan. Concrete of grade C 25/30 is available from specialist suppliers (concrete plants, builders' merchants).
Do the foundation and the flagpole have to be installed by a specialist company?
With a little practical skill, any DIY enthusiast can install the foundation and the flagpole themselves following the instructions supplied. It is not strictly necessary for this to be done by a specialist company.
What are the advantages of an outrigger pole?
Your flag stays clearly "readable" even without wind. Its life expectancy is also higher than that of a flag left to flap about wildly.
Which flag size do I need for which pole?
We recommend the following sizes:

Flags and banners, portrait format:
Nominal height in m Flag size in cm
5 80x200
6 100x300
7 150x350
8 100x400
9 120x500
10-12 larger

Hoisted flags, landscape format:
Nominal height in m Flag size in cm
5 120x80
6 150x120
7 180x120
8 200x120
9 225x150
10 250x150
12 300x200
Is planning permission required to erect a flagpole?
The erection of flagpoles is regulated differently by each building authority, town or municipality. We therefore recommend asking your responsible authority whether planning permission is required. Here is a list of the permit rules, sorted by federal state. No guarantee is given.
