At 10 m of visible pole height, the pole is designed for prestigious locations, industrial sites and groups of poles. For poles of this height we recommend portrait flags of roughly 500 to 700 cm in length – as a rule of thumb, a flag should be about half to two thirds of the nominal height. Installation requires a foundation with a ground socket – the 10 m nominal height refers to the visible section above ground level. You will find the matching foundation plan in the „Instructions“ tab. The outrigger arm holds the flag clear of the pole so it stays readable even when there is no wind.

Aluminium pole tubes with an elliptical cross-section, optimised structurally and aerodynamically. Besides the greatest possible stability, this tube shape has the advantage of the lowest possible noise emission in strong winds.
Thanks to the structural and aerodynamic optimisation of the pole tubes, the poles guarantee stability in accordance with DIN EN 1991-1-4/NA for wind zone I when flying a flag, up to a nominal height of 12 m. For nominal heights up to and including 9 m, stability for wind zone 2 is guaranteed as standard – likewise when flying a flag.
The benefit of the rotating bearing of the pole tubes is that both the flag and the hoisting device turn "out of the wind" at the same time. This prevents the flag from wrapping or tangling in turbulent wind and rain.

Side tape with hooks. Hollow hem along the top edge of the fabric, Ø 30 mm, open on both sides. The topmost hook must be sewn on directly below the hollow hem. Hook spacing max. 1.00 m, max. fabric width 1.50 x 4 m. The flag is slid onto the bracket tube by its hollow hem. The topmost flag carabiner hooks into the hole of the long slide, the remaining carabiners into the eyelets of the flag fabric holders. The flag weight with stainless steel carabiner is hooked into the lowest flag fabric holder and thus prevents the flag from riding up in gusts.

What does the figure on the product page mean? In the technical data of our poles you will find a statement such as "without flag to DIN EN 1991-1-4/NA wind zone I". This is the structural verification of the pole tube – it states up to which wind zone the pole has been verified by calculation without a flag. This figure is not an exclusion criterion for higher wind zones, but the basis for the design.
I live in wind zone 2, 3 or 4 – what now? Then the configuration is decisive: the type of ground fixing (ground socket or tilting mount), foundation size, pole height and above all flag size. The same pole can often be used in a higher wind zone with a different fixing or a smaller flag. On several of our series, stability up to a nominal height of 9 m is provided as standard for wind zone 2 as well.
