In the centring-sleeve installation version, a centring ring is firmly bolted to the pole tube at the height of the socket rim. Thanks to precision manufacturing, this centring ring fits into the centring sleeve without a gap; the sleeve's inner diameter is approx. 10 mm larger than the pole tube diameter. The collar of the centring ring closes off the centring sleeve at the top, so dirt cannot get into the ground socket.
The base centring piece, firmly connected to the bottom of the socket, acts as the counter bearing for the pole tube. This design makes the pole tube easy and safe to align and, even after many years, easy to remove again. Centring sleeves are made from thick-walled round aluminium tubes.
On centring sleeves with anti-twist and removal protection for conical pole tubes, the centring ring has an S-shaped milled slot on the side that sits inside the sleeve. Matching the position and width of this slot, an internal pin is welded into the centring sleeve 15 mm below the socket rim. When the pole tube is set in place, the pin threads into the S-shaped slot and thus provides the anti-twist and removal protection. To remove the pole tube it must first be lifted, turned anticlockwise and then lifted again. Removal is only possible this way. When installing the centring sleeve, allow for the later alignment of the pole: the internal pin points towards the side with the hoisting device.
