Pole heights and flag sizes

Pfeil

7.1 How tall is a standard flagpole and how large may the flag be?

The best-selling pole heights are between 7 and 9 metres above ground. A maximum flag size of 1.50 x 4.00 m applies up to a nominal height of 8.0 m, and 1.50 x 5.00 m at nominal heights of 9.00 and 10.00 m.

7.2 What is the standard height for flagpoles, and which visual considerations matter?

On the one hand, the height of the building and the size of the flag are decisive. Flagpoles should be twice the height of the flags in order to achieve good visual proportions and a safe clearance from the ground. Experience shows the standard height for flagpoles to be 8 m above ground.

7.3 Are taller poles available too?

The standard range covers poles up to a nominal height of 12 m. There is, however, almost no upper limit. Poles over 12 m can be ordered as custom manufacture.

7.4 Are poles shorter than 5 m available too (e.g. 4 m)?

Our standard range starts at a nominal height of 5 m. Shorter poles - 4 m, for example - are made to order as a custom length: the pole tube is cut to the size you need, while the hoisting system, the pole top and the matching ground socket (Ø 75 mm or Ø 90 mm) stay unchanged. Please note that the flag size scales accordingly: at a nominal height of 4 m we recommend a flag of no more than 1.20 x 2.00 m. Give us a call or send us a message - we will gladly prepare a quotation including freight costs. For facade and wall mounting we also offer 3 m angled poles (series Z75-F / ZI75-F) straight from our range.
